One of Canada’s leading real estate firms is seeking a 4th Class Power Engineer to join a team of Building Operator’s based Downtown Vancouver. This is for a BRAND NEW Class A Office Tower!

Your New Role

  • testing, inspect buildings, and maintain documentation on building condition, drawings, etc.
  • with contractors to complete repairs, obtain pricing and manage maintenance service agreements on site.
  • a liaison with contractors for construction projects.
  • climate / environmental control (BAS) and other mechanical systems within the building.
  • in the on-call rotation which may include all buildings in the portfolio.
  • collaboratively with other members of the operations team.
  • preventative maintenance and unscheduled repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, lighting, electrical, elevating devices, roofing, and life safety systems.
  • maintenance including housekeeping such as sweeping, litter pick up, shoveling and pressure washing.
  • with environmental assessments, indoor air quality audits and other reporting studies / investigations.
  • in corporate occupational health and safety program.
  • with waste, recycling, and hazardous materials issues.
  • computerized control systems.
  • to tenant service requests and provide excellent customer service when interacting with all tenants and the public
  • with insurance and risk management inspections, remedial actions, and reporting.
  • current and up to date with new industry practices, legislative changes, and new technologies.
  • assigned duties.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

To succeed in this role, you ideally have a 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate or are willing to get this. You will need proven experience in physical plant operations, HVAC and other equipment related maintenance preferably in a commercial or retail portfolio. You should have good knowledge of general maintenance and have good customer service skills. A criminal verification check is required for employment.
