Hiring Film Liaisons (Filming Liaison Officer) Part time / casual Tri-Cities / Coquitlam BC Operating high-volume film locations, this BC company is actively seeking Film Liaisons for contract and casual work. You will be based on film sites within the Tri-Cities area and will work a variety of shifts across mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends. Your new role : As a Film Liaison you will be responsible for the supervision of film site locations, both inside buildings and outside on the grounds. Due to the nature of this work, your duties will vary day-to-day but will include: - Taking detailed notes for daily logs/incident reports, photos for prep/wrap and communicate effectively during shift changes with other liaisons to ensure continuity. - Ensuring that productions have a daily sign in/out log sheet for crew members - Enforcement of site policies, including health and safety, and ensuring film crew has obtained correct permits for work being carried out. - Enforcing of parking assignments and to ensure fire lanes remain clear and no parking in unauthorized areas. - Conducting regular daily site inspections of interior/exterior buildings and a final exterior patrol including checking doors/windows are secured at the end of each day. - Conducting regular reviews of physical locations and reporting maintenance issues to the film supervisor. - Ensures effective communication between production and film supervisor regarding new information for prep, film or wrap adjustments and or concerns around rules and regulations. - Reporting security matters such as fire, theft, alarms, damage, and injuries to the film supervisor. - Coordinating with supervisors, production assistants and film staff to ensure the safety of personnel and the smooth running of each day. - Completing inspections, observing, and documenting the location for changes/modifications prior to filming and post filming to ensure it is returned to its original condition. What you'll need to succeed : To be considered for this position it is essential that you have excellent communication and organizational skills and are comfortable working in high pressure and stressful situations. In addition to this you will require: - Excellent attention to detail and the ability to carry out precise work. - Problem solving/critical thinking, communication, conflict management - The ability to develop and build positive relationships with stakeholders. - Valid driver’s license and your own vehicle. - Knowledge of health and safety procedures, hazards, and an understanding of general maintenance. - Ideally, previous experience with the film industry or operations experience. - The ability to pass a criminal record check / vulnerable sector check.
