Accounting Manager (Controller)

Controlling the day-to-day costs and accounting functions is the was through which Angstrom ensures it achieves its financial goals. In this role you will report to the General Manager and manage all day-to-day accounting functions at the plant level including budgeting, monthly financial statements, product costing, project accounting, and external/internal reporting.

What does the Accounting Manager do?

  • Responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, forecasting, budgeting, and product costing at the plant level.
  • Responsible for weekly production financial reporting including sales, labor, containment costs, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Management of the plants costing system. Ensuring that standard costs are accurate in the financial ERP system.
  • Ensure that proper internal financial controls are implemented and followed, along with the administration and control of the capital procurement process.
  • Implement accounting procedures, financial policies, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintenance of fixed assets, GL reconciliations, and other projects as assigned.
  • Supervision of the accounting staff.

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 2 years in a Plant Accountant/Controller role
  • Bachelors Degree in Accounting Discipline
  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA)
  • High volume automotive experience is an asset
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office Suite and experience with ERP systems

Salary information: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 (Salary is dependent on experience)

  • Previous experience is required, but we are open to individuals with previous transferable skills such as: Finance, Accounting, Controller, Manager, Accountant, etc _
