Position Overview We are looking for a full-time Maintenance Supervisor to join our maintenance team and assist the Maintenance Manager with the day-to-day team leading. You will be doing maintenance in different locations around Canmore and Banff. This includes the following properties: Northwinds by Basecamp, Basecamp Resorts Canmore, Basecamp Lodge Canmore, Basecamp Suites Canmore, Lamphouse by Basecamp, Basecamp Suites Banff, Moose Meadows Laundry, Canmore Corporate Office and staff accommodations. Salary : $50,000-$52,000 Full-Time/Permanent

Responsibilities :

  • Help lead the Canmore/Banff maintenance team.
  • Be the point of contact to your team when the maintenance manager is off.
  • Help carry out a preventive maintenance program for all properties, including but not limited to: boiler systems, furnaces, fan coils, appliances etc.
  • Manage three hot tubs (testing, re-filling, inventory, following AHS protocols).
  • Landscaping.
  • Snow removal.
  • Day-to-day maintenance.
  • Work with the team to address maintenance concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Observe strict safety practices.
  • Work in a dynamic fast-paced environment.
  • Coordinate larger scale repairs with appropriate trades.
  • Respond to all maintenance issues on a timely basis, including troubleshooting and undertaking repairs in relation to guest rooms and common areas. Maintenance issues may include minor plumbing, light carpentry, landscaping, and a wide range of repair work.
  • Complete preventative maintenance procedures on a regular basis and maintain documents relating to this.
  • Assist on various new projects as the properties develop.
  • Liaise with Front Desk and Housekeeping departments when required.
  • Travel between properties as required.

Requirements :

  • Demonstrate organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Able to work well independently with little supervision.
  • Ability to work and lead a team.
  • Take initiative in solving problems.
  • Be ready for any challenge.
  • Promote positive relationships in communication and cooperation with all co workers and guests.
  • Must have an Alberta driver’s license and clean driving abstract.
  • Hot tub certification.
  • First aid certified.
  • Must be approachable by other coworkers and maintain confidentiality.
