The Opportunity: WSP is seeking a skilled Project Manager to join our Remediation team. To thrive in this environment, you are most likely a trained engineer, have experience in building construction or multi-discipline design project management, and are at ease in a leadership role. This opportunity is to join the WSP team responsible for the execution and construction of the Port Hope Area Initiative (PHAI) . The PHAI represents the federal government's response to the community-requested solution for the cleanup and local, long-term, safe management of historic low-level radioactive waste in the municipalities of Port Hope and Clarington. Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Provide guidance, motivation, and direction to project team members. Ensure all aspects of the project comply with nuclear industry regulations and standards. Implement and monitor risk management plans to minimize project disruptions. Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenses and cost controls. Enforce safety protocols and promote a culture of safety on-site. Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental regulations. What you'll bring to WSP: Minimum of 8 years' experience in construction project management, nuclear experience is considered an asset. Progressive experience working for a General Contractor. Experience working on large value projects. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is a plus. Eligible for Reliability security clearance (individual must have 3 full years of verifiable history in Canada, USA, UK, New Zealand and/or Australia) #LI-Onsite WSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
