Connect Tech Inc. is looking for an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Manager to oversee our hardware production operations and to supervise our manufacturing team. You will work alongside a diverse and talented group of electronics engineers and designers, mechanical engineers, technical support, sales and admin individuals to continue Connect Tech’s drive within the embedded industry.

Responsibilities:

The ultimate goal is to ensure a smooth running of the production lines and the quality of output that meets customer requirements as well as growing the production capacity.

The Manufacturing Manager will cover a wide range of responsibilities and duties including but not limited to:

Operations Scheduling :

  • Overseeing scheduling of the facilities for all product processing in a multi-stage process and assigning work to team members

Employee Supervision and Management:

  • Supervising the employee workforce in the department
  • Participating in the recruitment, selection and onboarding of new team members through resume reviewing, interviewing and training
  • Training employees in the use of new equipment or production techniques
  • Conducting annual performance reviews of team members
  • Monitoring and reporting time and attendance of team members, processing vacation requests
  • Evaluating, adjusting, creating, developing and managing processes, procedures and work instructions for effective operations
  • Lead and encourage staff to operate at a high level of effectiveness
  • Act as a liaison between senior management and workers to formulate objectives and understand requirements
  • Manage scheduling for maximum workforce efficiency
  • Develop and implement plans to efficiently use materials, labour and equipment to meet production targets
  • Provide input and recommendations for departmental budget
  • Manage risk to minimize losses and maximize profits
  • Plan and implement changes to machinery and equipment, production systems and methods of work
  • Develop equipment maintenance schedules and recommend the replacement of machines
  • Direct quality control inspection system and develop production reporting procedures
  • Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed

Inventory Management , ERP System Operation and Maintenance:

  • Maintaining inventory of stock product, consumables and raw materials, and participating in annual inventory count
  • Managing the ERP System for inventory adjustment, shipping and receiving
  • Customer Order and Inquiry Processing :
  • Interfacing with sales and customer service teams to apply delivery dates to orders based on stock levels, design timelines and assembly schedules
  • Providing customers with lead times based on stock levels and processing times

The Qualifications We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, business, engineering or a related subject
  • Hands-on production experience within a fast-paced growing electronics manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of and adherence to manufacturing best practices
  • Experience and/or education in process development/management, procedure creation and work instruction development, and in reporting on key production metrics
  • Strong experience with inventory management system
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP system appropriate to the business
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and decision-making skills to resolve the daily issues in production area quickly and efficiently
  • At least five years' experience in manufacturing or production, with expertise in managing teams, analyzing production metrics and implementing process improvements.
  • Natural leadership ability and sound judgment
  • Excellent organizational and coordinating skills with excellent team-building and interpersonal skills
  • A Strong working knowledge of safety regulations related to the business
  • Detail-oriented
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Initiative and self-motivation
  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal, conflict management and negotiation skills
