Position Summary Reporting to the Director, Transnational Projects and Business Development, the Manager, Global Business Projects, will be responsible for strategically shaping and directing various business development activities to generate new revenue streams for Centennial College. This role involves planning and executing strategic projects, showcasing Centennial's educational products, and enhancing its profile across industry sectors. The incumbent collaborates with the team to develop business plans, implement approved projects, and monitor outcomes and ROI.  The Manager, Global Business Projects will play a crucial role in identifying revenue opportunities, meeting targets, and managing global business development initiatives. In addition, the incumbent will manage the day-to-day activities related to global business development. This includes operational activities, such as overseeing projects, relationship development with stakeholders, conducting market-specific research, and creating communication collateral. The role involves providing direction to staff, ensuring streamlined project execution, and collaborating with various departments and external partners.  The incumbent will be required to travel, and is responsible for building positive relationships with embassies, government agencies, institutional partners, and communities for recruitment and branding purposes. Responsibilities Global Business Development, Strategic Partnerships, and Budget Management: Plans, implements, and monitors budget expenditures for projects, ensuring financial integrity and ROI. Develops and implements marketing strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Applies analytics to predict consumer behaviour and optimize product availability and pricing. Identifies needs, trends, opportunities, and success ratios for assigned projects. Cultivates global linkages, networks, and partnerships to promote Centennial products. Manages performance metrics and key account relationships with partner institutions and organizations. Represents the College in external activities supporting assigned projects. Strategic Planning, Leadership, and Supervision: Contributes to business plans, monitors project status, and manages staff, faculty, and projects related to Global Business Development Training. Assists in hiring for budgeted positions and supervises staff, ensuring effective project implementation. Manages day-to-day operational aspects of multiple projects, including resource allocation, communication, and progress tracking. Leads preparation of international marketing strategy in collaboration with stakeholders. Collects, analyses, and presents data for continual improvement and informed decision-making. Coordinates with regional managers and directors to integrate College programs and services for international students. Geographic Market Research, Analysis, Promotion, and Outreach: Monitors market analysis of geographic regions, considering workforce gaps, job markets, and political stability. Promotes Centennial products and offshore delivery for new revenue streams. Reviews and provides input to marketing materials for effective communication and promotion. Other Duties: Participates in professional organizations, staying current on industry best practices and trends. Represents the College in external activities supporting widespread partnerships. Stays current with political, economic, social, and educational trends influencing international education. Prepares reports/briefs and conducts presentations for College stakeholders and senior leadership. Assists in planning and capacity-building activities across Centennial. Assumes additional responsibilities and duties assigned by senior staff. Qualifications 4 year degree/diploma in Business Administration, International Relations, or related fields. Equivalent education and experience will be considered. 7 years of leadership experience in academia or entrepreneurship. Bilingualism in English and additional languages is an asset. Proven knowledge of budget and cost management. Proven leadership experience in post-secondary education with an international perspective. Extensive experience directing high-profile international programs. Marketing and promotion experience in an international educational setting is an asset. Knowledge of the IRCC requirements for studying in Canada and off-shore with a good understanding of relevant legal issues and legislation. Accomplished leader with strong problem-solving skills and cultural sensitivity. In-depth knowledge of international education components and strategies. Demonstrated ability to build dynamic partnerships for sustainable development. Superior skills in internationalization, Enrolment Management, and fundraising campaigns. Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Proficient in research methodology and project management. Advanced knowledge of software packages, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Cognos. Experience leading teams in a fast-paced environment; unionized environment experience is advantageous.
