Assures compliance with Engineering Procedures and quality control standards Participating in design reviews and HAZOPs as needed Participates in site visits as required. Interfacing with various engineering disciplines and suppliers. Project Execution may include but not limited to: Assures compliance with engineering procedures and quality control standards Development of Datasheets as well as specifying, selecting and sizing field instrumentation (Pres/Temp/Flow/Level), Control Valves, on/off valves and PSV’s Preparing and checking installation details. Preparing and reviewing instrument lists (I/O, instrument index, load lists, etc) Development of Material take offs (MTO’s) Selection and procurement of controls hardware (DCS/PLC/FGS) Preparing and checking Instrument Loop diagrams as well as control cabinet design and wiring Responsible for performing squad check of vendor data and drawings from other disciplines Providing input to P&ID development Design, development, and technical content of the I&C portion of project work Have frequent contact with vendors Plan, coordinate and prepare Material Requisitions, Technical Bid Evaluations and award recommendations for various equipment within instrumentation and controls. Instrumentation Technologist / Bachelors in Science, Engineering from an accredited University or College. Minimum of 4 + yrs. Industry experience Good understanding and familiarity of ASME, TSSA and CSA, codes and directives. Industry experience: Refining, Petrochemical, Gas Processing, and/or Midstream facilities. Ability to problem-solve effectively Strong verbal and written communication skills Experience in the use of Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI/Intools) is an asset. Registration through PEO as a or Limited License is an asset.
