Erie offers Service and Installation of Garage Doors for your home or business. Specializing in Overhead Doors, Dock Levelers, Restraints, Dock Seals and Bumpers, as well as HVLS Fans and everything in between. We also offer Preventative Maintenance Programs in varying frequencies depending on usage and industry requirements.
We are currently hiring for Lead Service Technicians - to troubleshoot and maintain our customers equipment, as well as install new equipment when it is required.
Typical Duties: As a Lead / Senior Technician you will take the lead in the inspection and repairs of customers equipment - and as such you have at least 1 year experience in the dock and door industry. You will be paired with a junior technician, and will be expected to teach them the skillsets required for advancement, as well as assisting in performance reviews. It is your responsibility to maintain record keeping, filing incident reports, and ensuring proper communication with the dispatch team and service manager.
Other responsibilities include:
- Maintaining proper inventory levels of parts and supplies to complete daily tasks
- Communicating with dispatch regarding job progress and any issues
- Ensuring parts used are properly recorded
- Completing all paperwork as required
Must be able to: Stand or walk for long periods of time during a regular work day; use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects; lift and carry materials weighing 50 to 100 pounds; climb up and down ladders, scaffolds and other climbing devices; carry tools and equipment; work while in stooped, kneeling, crouched, and crawling positions, for extended periods.
Also, must be able to: Perform assigned tasks under all types of environmental and weather conditions including severe cold, extreme heat, wet or dry weather and high winds. Environmental conditions may include areas where toxic or caustics chemicals or fumes are in use or being stored. Noise intensity level of 4; Proximity to moving mechanical parts; Working in high, exposed levels as well as in close, cramped quarters.
