Reporting to the Supervisor, Packaging, the Operator, Sanitation role will be responsible for the essential functions of the position, which include, but are not limited to the following:Schedule: Monday - Tuesday 6:00am - 6:00pm & Saturday 6:00pm - 6:00amSalary: $25.90/hThere are 2 salary increases in the first year of employment, with a target rate of $28.80/hour. We support and take care of our employees and their families by offering : Vacation upon hireGenerous and complete benefit coverage with group insuranceGroup retirement plan with employer contributionTelemedicine and assistance program for employees and their familiesEmployee Share Ownership Plan with an employer matchPaid Parental Leave programPaid time off: Sick days, floater days and volunteer day offOpportunity to contribute to a collective RRSP & TFSATraining and development programsOrganized activities for employees and their families Advantageous discounts on Saputo productsHow you will make contributions that matter:Responsible for the tear down of equipment for cleaningEnsures the efficient and effective use of equipment and material resources, communicating with the Packaging Supervisor to monitor and maximize operational efficienciesOperate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris and other refuseUse specified amounts of chemicals to clean packaging equipment and work areas at required timesAdhere to Good Manufacturing Practices, HACCP Requirements, and Standard Operating ProceduresMay move heavy equipment and supplies as requiredEnsures that safe conditions exist at all times within the work environment and will take appropriate action to protect the health and safety of all employeesResponsible for communication between shifts with previous/oncoming shift Leadhands as well as Packaging, Technicians and Supervisors of key issues or potential issuesMaintains effective internal and external working relationshipsOther duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Packaging or designateFlexibility to work shifts outside the normal shift when requiredSupports and maintains Saputo Dairy Products Canada G.P.’s quality standards;You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications: Secondary School Diploma or Equivalent (GED)Experience in food manufacturing or packaging, preferably dairy manufacturingAbility to adapt to a changing environment quickly and easilyAbility to function independently and as part of a teamSaputo welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
