Pursuit Aerospace is a global manufacturer of complex aircraft engine components that are developed through highly integrated processes.Our exceptional quality is driven by a deep investment in and the daily practice of continually improving our people, processes, and products.Always Pursuing Better.The Global Quality Director reports directly to the Sr. Quality Director and supports sites within Stuart, FL, Thomasville, GA, Morton, IL, Cleveland, OH, Orillia, Canada, Guaymas, Mexico, Burnley, United Kingdom and Tunis, Tunisia. The Global Quality Director duties include, but not limited to providing onsite support, guidance, leadership, to Global eight divisional sites with a quality focus in all areas through a commitment to comply with all internal and external requirements.Job Summary:Develop, implement, manage, and continuously improve quality control systems designed to ensure accurate production of aerospace components consistent with established standards, customer specifications. Responsible for leading internal and external audits and ensuring compliance to the Quality Management System. Use kaizen and single piece flow principles to ensure quality compliance at every process step.Responsibilities & Authority:Identify and/or lead kaizen to continuously improve delivered product quality.Identify and/or lead initiatives to improve Quality system compliance.Identify and work with internal audit team. Lead all internal and external audits.Lead/Support the implementation of initiatives necessary to improve product quality and delivery (Quality Clinic establishment)Led effort of one AS9100 global certificationSupport site quality management at sites with any escalations internally or from customers.Support escape investigations at sites.Formulate, document, and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.Effectively communicate & present information to all levels of the organization – shop floor, direct reports, and management.Use and train in the following quality tools – root cause analysis and problem solving, FMEA, control plans, PPAP, APQP, System audits, SPC.Read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Working knowledge and development of quality systems and requirements and how they relate to business (i.e. AS9100, NADCAP).Provide technical and statistical expertise to team.AS9100 Lead auditor training.Bachelor’s Degree Engineering desired or relevant experienceMinimum of seven years of quality related experienceMinimum of three years of direct leadership/supervisory experienceKnowledge of quality engineering inspection methodsExperience with developing/documenting procedures.Computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel, Word Outlook, PowerPoint, and internet applications)ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS: The above job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and standards of the position.
