This contribution will be grounded in your deep understanding of their business operations, organizational culture, and employee demographics, as well as your awareness of current trends in human resources best practices and the broader labor market, including legal, social, demographic, and macroeconomic aspects.Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of overseeing all HR functions, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, training and development, and compensation and benefits. Furthermore, your experience and expertise will be deeply valued as it pertains to the ongoing development, improvement, updating, and upkeep of all human resource functions, as they align with the company’s strategy, mission, values, goals, and objectives.This position demands a strategic thinker with a proven track record in HR leadership, capable of driving HR initiatives that support the organization’s growth and enhance employee engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong interpersonal skills, deep knowledge of Canadian labour laws, and the ability to influence and collaborate with senior management.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Create, execute, and supervise all Human Resources initiatives, ensuring they are in harmony with our overarching company strategyAssist in shaping our company’s strategy by informing the senior management team about the latest trends and best practices in human resource management, significant legal and regulatory updates, competitive dynamics in our labor and product markets, and social and economic trendsDirect and guide the implementation of all Human Resources programs, projects, and services within the company. Set and maintain service standards for the Human Resources Department, and consistently assess and improve service delivery methods, procedures, and standardsOversee the smooth functioning of all areas within the Human Resources Department, including Talent Management, Organizational Development, Performance Management, Diversity, Training and Employee Development, Recruitment and Selection, Compensation and Benefits, Employee Relations, Occupational Health and Safety, and PayrollActively drive and champion strategic change initiatives across the companySpearhead human resources planning efforts, offering consultation and advice to business leaders on potential future resource and staffing challenges Experience 10+ years of experience in HR management position(s)At least 5 years in a senior management role.10 years of experience managing a Canadian payroll Qualifications CHRP needed, while CHRL is idealCertified Payroll Manager is idealMember in good standing with Human Resources Professionals AssociationExcellent communication people management skillsMindful, respectful and trustworthy with sensitive and confidential informationStellar negotiation skills and conflict management abilitiesEthical, honest and of integrity Education Bachelor’s Degree (alternatively, a combination of experience and training) with a focus in human resources.
