This position is responsible to lead the district team to deliver a safe, efficient, and compliant operation while maximizing value across their area and promoting a culture built on corporate values. This role requires strong, visible field leadership with a focus on coaching future leaders and working closely with their Senior Supervisor peers to drive consistency, knowledge sharing and best practices across the Conventional business. This role requires knowledge and proven competency in all aspects of conventional production facilities and field operations and requires a thorough understanding of Conventional’ s safe work practices, programs, procedures, and Standards.The successful candidate will be highly motivated; focused on supporting and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs), managing district operating costs and budgets, and providing visible leadership and coaching to all levels of operations staff. This role also requires a high level of interaction to maintain and build external relationships with the area key social stakeholders and surrounding indigenous communities.This role is based in Rainbow Lake and is 14 days on 14 days off rotational role. The role requires the successful candidate to live in Rainbow Lake while on shift. What you’ll do:Promote personal and process safety as a core value ensuring all risks are identified, understood, and managed through the application of processes, programs, and collaboration with supporting functions. Maintain a leadership presence within the operation fostering a positive work environment and supporting a culture of continuous improvement through knowledge sharing, celebrating successes, and recognizing strong operating integrity performance.Ensures operational continuity by acting as the liaison with the supporting field teams and provides guidance for planned outages and ensure operational impacts of planned maintenance are understood with key stakeholders.The Senior Coordinator drives the reliability and strategy of the district on behalf of the Senior Field Manager through expectations and prioritization of activities including the annual maintenance plan.Provide key inputs to development plans and new drill campaigns including well or facility equip, and tie-in scoping, planning and design and operating cost assumptions.Communicate requirements to apply the Conventional business plan to district specific tactical objectives to meet or exceed safety, production, opex, and process safety metrics for the area.Review monthly district performance with area foremen to identify and implement opportunities to optimize area value. Lead contractor engagement including setting performance expectations, reviewing contractor procedures, and observing and auditing in-field performance.Collaborate with peers to ensure consistent application of the Conventional operations philosophy identifying areas of improvement in support of the short and medium-term objectives of the district.Collaborate with integrated peers (HSER, Engineering, Joint Interest, Asset Integrity, Maintenance, SCM, Well Delivery, Earthworks, Surface Land, Production Services, and Marketing) to identify opportunities for optimization, develop alternative business solutions and drive value enhanced decisions for the field operation.Responsible for the district regulatory performance by promoting a culture of compliance and driving consistent application of the Conventional operating standard.Ensure operations staff have adequate tools, support, and mentorship to develop and maintain a broad skillset and drive consistent understanding and adherence to company policies, procedures, and programs.Maintain a positive working relationships with area competitors and midstreamers to influence and enhance business outcomes.Responsible for field operations requirements for Emergency Management/Emergency Response and ensuring district operations team is adequately trained and prepared.Who you are:10+ years of relevant industry experience5+ years in a field leadership experience 5+ years conventional oil and gas field and facility operations experienceStrong leadership, coaching and mentoring skills required.Strong decision making and troubleshooting skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skillsPossess a valid Class 5 driver’s license (driver’s abstract is required)Experience in sour environments preferredNote: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MTJuly 12, 2024.Internal candidates that are currently in a lower grade will be assessed based on their sustained job performance, how they demonstrate the expected organizational competency behaviors and values and in discussions with their current leader prior to determining next steps.Who we are:We’re an integrated energy company headquartered in Calgary with oil and natural gas production operations in Canada and the Asia Pacific region, and upgrading, refining and marketing operations in Canada and the United States.
