This role requires a professional, personable individual with strong business judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a busy environment with growth opportunities. Key responsibilities include: - Leading and supervising Maintenance Coordinators, trades, and 3rd party contractors. - Ensuring safe execution and coordination of work orders. - Participating in operational integrity activities. - Managing and adhering to operational budgets. - Staying updated on new technology and efficiency improvements to enhance maintenance strategies. - Collaborating with various partners including operations, health and safety, maintenance, engineering, finance, supply chain, and service teams. The position requires residency in Rainbow Lake, Alberta, with a shift of two weeks on, two weeks off. Company housing is provided. What you’ll do: - Lead the district Maintenance Coordinators, trades, and third-party contractors during the execution of maintenance activities. - Accountable for overall safety, availability, and financial performance of the district’s maintenance program. - Develop systems, procedures, and process flows to increase maintenance execution efficiency. - Interface with Operations and Planning to ensure seamless workflow with focus on the correct priorities. Manage identification of break-in work. Support new work identification (non-break-in). - Identify causes of equipment failures and repetitive repairs. - Oversight of asset health with focus on large rotating equipment (i.e. oil sampling / analysis, valve recession, vibration monitoring, etc.). - Steward the Cenovus safety culture and ensure compliance to maintenance procedures, safe work practices, and operational integrity requirements. - Attend field maintenance activities to oversee work, complete worksite observations, and provide coaching to trades. - Work directly with stakeholders to steward the financial and operational performance results of the business. - Responsible to work collaboratively with a range of customers including Maintenance Planning, Operations, Construction, Supply Chain / Warehouse, and Engineering to ensure satisfactory performance of the team. - Vendor contract development, onboarding, and sustainment of performance. - Partner with Operations in turnaround planning and execution. - Manage Identification of new work (i.e. repairs / break-in). - Identification and involvement in the Planning for Safety process. - Support projects and construction during design and commissioning of new facilities. - Communicates with Freeholders, Partners, and Government Agencies. Who you are: - Red Seal Journeymen - Business / Technical Diploma and / or equivalent training is an asset. - Minimum 5 years of experience in a maintenance execution role. - Minimum 3 years of experience in formal / informal leadership roles. - Experience with project management is an asset. - Oil and gas equipment knowledge is an asset. - Demonstrated problem solving and decision-making skills.
