Worker Type: Employee Group: A&OI - Conventional Department Job Post End Date: 06/25/2024 About this opportunity: The Asset Integrity (AI) Specialist is a key member of the Conventional Business Unit AI team. The A &OI Specialist is accountable for executing the field implementation of the AI Program, in support of the Integrated Partnership model in Production Operations. The AI Specialist does this by maintaining a high level of technical ability and managing activities related to mechanical integrity, pipeline integrity, chemical applications, corrosion identification and mitigation, inspection and monitoring techniques, and failure analysis. This role is based in Rainbow Lake and is 14 days on 14 days off rotational role. The role requires the successful candidate to live in Rainbow Lake while on shift. Responsibilities: Located in Rainbow Lake Facility working closely and collaboratively with the Operations, Maintenance and Engineering Teams. The primary focus of this position is the implementation of the requirements of the ABSA Registered, Cenovus Conventional BU Pressure Equipment integrity Management (PEIM) program.Included in the role will be: - the internal and external inspection of Pressure Vessels, pressure piping and boilers at the Rainbow Lake Plant and field facilities, - the planning, scheduling and supervision of NDE activities in the plant and field, - participating in / leading the incident investigation and failure analysis of pressure equipment failures, - review and follow-up of MOC activities, - Support, participated and follow-up for internal and regulatory audits, - Support and lead pressure equipment repairs. Qualifications: The following qualifications are required to successfully complete this role, including, but not limited to: - A Technologist diploma in Materials, Chemical, Petroleum, Welding or other relevant Engineering Technology program - Minimum 5 years’ experience in a corrosion integrity / pressure equipment inspection role - Alberta ISI-iBPV / In-Service Pressure Equipment Inspector Certificate of Competency - API-510 Certifications. - API-570, 653 and National Board Certifications not required but considered an asset - Valid Class 5 drivers license and acceptable abstract Note: The application deadline for this position is 11:59 PM MT June 23rd, 2024.
