Dow Chemical Canada in Fort Saskatchewan, AB, and at the Prentiss site, near Blackfalds, AB is seeking qualified individuals pursuing Power Engineering or Chemical Engineering Technology program certification for summer practicum positions. These interns will assist with basic operating technician field duties. We anticipate a four-month commitment during the summer, May - August. Currently enrolled in a Power Engineering or Chemical Engineering Technology program. Required qualifications - Reliable attendance is an expectation of every Dow employee; therefore, the student must be able to supply their own reliable transportation. - Be proficient in computers to perform job tasks. - A class 5 driver's license. - A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada on a permanent basis. The physical abilities, with or without reasonable accommodations, include: - Lift, push, and pull up to 55 lbs. - Frequent bending, reaching, and lifting. - Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time. - Work at heights, climb stairs and ladders. - Work in tight and closed in spaces. - Wear all required personal protective equipment, including but not limited to respirator and face coverings.
