Pool Vacuum Cleaner

The Waegwoltic is a seasonal recreation club located on the Northwest Arm in Halifax. Not only are we a scenic getaway in the heart of the city, but we also host a multitude of events and programs for our members to attend. Our property includes tennis courts, outdoor pools, moorings, and 5 buildings.

As a pool vacuumer at the Waegwoltic Club, you will be required to work in a team of two to ensure the bottom and sides of our largest pool (the Lido) is clean and free of sand, dirt, or algae. You will not be required to get in the water to complete tasks, there is a raft that is used to maneuver around the pool to clean it.. Pool cleaning might not take up the whole shift, so flexibility in positions is necessary. Other duties can include weeding, trimming grass/bushes, assisting maintenance with basic tasks like moving equipment, or assisting cleaners with extra jobs like gathering garbage from around the property.

This position is a monday-friday (7am-3pm) seasonal job and will go until late September. Hours can be provided after the Lido closes depending on your availability and desired position. Depending on availability during the school year, we can adjust the schedule to have pool vacuuming completed on the weekends.

• Ability to swim short distances in case of emergency
• Willingness to work early mornings
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, and to lift 50lbs

Job Types : Full-time, Seasonal Contract length: 1-2 months
