We deliver environmental and sustainability services to our clients through the integration of advisory and over 30 technical environmental and engineering disciplines to help clients address some of their most complex challenges around sustainability, we are Making Sustainability Happen.As our new Acoustics and Vibration Engineer with a passion for working on environmental related projects, you will play an important role on a team whose work is essential to achieving this goal.Job DescriptionIn this position, you’ll work closely with our senior consultants on a diverse array of private and public sector clients across North America. Whether you’re working on new and retrofit projects for noise and vibration control, conducting field measurements, or leading the development of new noise and vibration models, you’ll feel good knowing your work will positively impact people for years to come. Key ResponsibilitiesYour tasks will also include:• noise and vibration assessments on challenging and stimulating projects encompassing:• Environmental Noise: examples include noise permitting for industrial/ manufacturing facilities, land use planning, transportation noise for road, rail and aircraft• Environmental Vibration: examples include vehicle-induced vibrations and construction vibration. • conducting field measurements in challenging environments, throughout the year;• working to streamline and standardize data collection and analysis;• preparing and presenting technical reports;• coordinating projects to maintain schedule and budgets;• leading the development of new models and applications related to noise and vibration; • establishing effective QA/QC procedures.You’ll enjoy a flexible and dynamic work environment, where your success will depend on your collaborative working style, your consultative approach to clients, and your superb technical skills. Working @ SLR With us, there is no doubt you’ll grow your subject-matter expertise and industry knowledge.
