We are currently searching for a Health Club Attendant to join our team in CHI the Spa on a part-time basis. With personal commitment and an emotional sense of gracious hospitality, a Health Club Attendant makes a positive impact on guest experiences throughout all aspects of their fitness centre experience by ensuring overall cleanliness, organization and customer service in our health club, maximizing the balance between Colleague, Guest and Owner satisfaction. The hourly wage for this role is $23.47/hour. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: This role will provide customer service to guests and residents, in combination with general organization, cleaning and administration, by performing tasks designed to enhance guest comfort\ Responsible for maintaining areas including: Ginger Bar, Fitness Centre, Locker Rooms and back-of-house Spa areas. Perform opening and closing duties of the Health Club, Pool and Ginger Bar, per hotel policies Interact with our guests answer questions regarding our spa, fitness facilities or hotel Administrative duties in health club including: guest registration, inventories, processing guest orders etc. Regular tasks include: preparing headphones for guest use, folding towels, stocking cabanas and pool areas, organizing and disinfecting gym equipment Ensuring Health Club and locker rooms are clean, organized and fully stocked with towels, literature and amenities Monitor the Ginger Bar, preparing beverages, maintaining inventory, general cleaning and service of food/beverage both poolside and within the Ginger Bar, as required. Enter food & beverage orders in the hotels POS System, process guest payments and deliver food & beverage ordered. Replenish reception and fitness facility amenities including: Water station, cool towels, magazines and fresh fruit, while following all safety and sanitation policies Ensure the Health Club area is clean and well maintained and well presented amenities are displayed to standard. Ensuring appropriate information is communicated to Spa Consultants and management, as required Answer guest inquiries via telephone and In-person Takes ownership for learning and following spa and healthclub policies and procedures Undertakes other ad hoc related responsibilities, as required Education & Skill Requirements Minimum 2 years previous work experience in housekeeping or spa attendant is preferred Flexibility in schedule and availbiltiy on weekends & holidays is essential Valid Serving It Right Certificate required Previous experience in luxury hotels or spas is preferred Demonstrated understanding of general cleaning and sanitization protocol is required Demonstrated understanding for luxury hotel standards of service is required SHANGRI-LA VANCOUVER COLLEAGUE PRIVILEGES we enable people to live, work, play, eat, and rest well through the environments we create and the memorable experiences we deliver!
