The Proposals Coordinator position is located at our office in Bowmanville, Ontario and reports directly to the Estimating & Assessing Manager.

The Proposals Coordinator will be the single point of contact for customers (internal and external), for all communications with the Estimating & Proposals department at PGR. The Estimating & Proposals SPOC will also be the single point of contact with our clients as it relates to all contracts and purchase orders tenders and proposal submissions.

Duties and Responsibilities :

  • Developing procedures, systems, and forms for office activities
  • Single point of contact on our master services agreement with our clients
  • Single point of contact with various clients for contract/purchase orders
  • Frequently interfacing with all levels of administration within Black & McDonald offices
  • Interfacing with various internal departments in order to provide B&M clients with requested responses
  • Interface with Proposal Specialist preparing documentation for acceptance of Purchase Orders/contracts
  • Interface with Estimators and prepare letters of estimate for Field Requests
  • Filing and information retrieval
  • Communicate to all appropriate personnel any updates or changes and updating electronic job information
  • Preparing, compiling and issuing of estimates and proposals within Black & McDonald and prospective clients
  • Provide back up support to Proposal Specialist role as required
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor Degree or College Diploma in related field or equivalent or related experience.

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • 1-4 years of estimating proposals experience for related construction/industrial projects.
  • Proven experience with industry standards and cost estimating software.

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Shall be a competent person as defined in the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Analytical with strong problem solving skills
  • Effective Communication skills both verbally and written
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt quickly to change
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in a team based environment
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
  • Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Computer Literacy; Microsoft Office product suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
  • Relevant industry designations considered an asset
  • A Client Security Clearance will be required
