Break through at Brock.Post End Date:July 12, 2024Title of Course: LING 1P92INTRO TO PSYCHOLOGY OF LANGUAGE (D2 Fall)Compensation Teaching Assistant, Course Coordinator and Lab Demonstrator positions are paid according to the qualifications that the employee holds. · Employees who do NOT hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the undergraduate rate - $ per hour. · Employees who hold a 4-year honours degree or a 3-year pass degree will be paid the graduate rate - $ per hour. · In cases where additional duties are required as part of a Teaching Assistant’s duties, these hours shall be compensated at the appropriate Teaching Assistant rate.Duties The duties and responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant shall be in accordance with Article 22 of the CUPE Local 4207, Unit 1, Collective Agreement. These are made up of scheduled contact time with students and non-classroom time (including preparation of seminar material, student consultation, marking or grading, examination proctoring, attending lectures, holding office hours, and other course administration as may be required.Qualifications Minimum four-year BA complete, or admission to 4th year with 80 percent major averageMust have taken this course (or equivalent) and received 80 percent (or equivalent) in the courseDemonstrated interpersonal qualities that support students’ course-related needs and that promote good communication/discussionStrong organizational skills and a demonstrated capacity to keep accurate records and to manage data, including solid practical ability with Excel
