Your newpany A reputable construction group in OttawaYour new role Maintain and implement all areas ofpany Insurance•Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, ie statements, and cash flow statements, in accordance with regulatory requirements.•Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and oversee the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to establish financial goals and projections. Monitor actual performance against budget and provide variance analysis.•Financial Analysis: Conduct thorough financial analysis to support strategic decision-making, including profitability analysis, cost-benefit analysis, and trend analysis. Identify areas for improvement and rmend corrective action.•Cash Management: Managing cash flow and liquidity, including monitoring cash balances, forecasting cash needs, and optimizing cash resources to meet operational requirements. Implement cash management strategies to maximize returns on idle cash.•Internal Controls: Establish and maintain effective internal control policies and procedures to safeguardpany assets and ensurepliance with relevant regulations. Conduct periodic reviews and audits to assess the effectiveness of internal controls.•Taxpliance: Ensurepliance with all tax regulations and reporting requirements, including ie tax, sales tax, and payroll tax. Coordinate with external tax advisors and authorities as needed.•Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A): Lead the financial planning and analysis function, including long-range planning, scenario modelling, and capital expenditure analysis.
