Maple Lodge Farms, Ltd. was founded in 1955 and is based in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.Facility Location: 8301 Winston Churchill Blvd, Brampton, ON L6Y 0A2This position will focus primarily on IT Service Desk and will involve in IT projects in order to the IT team to focus on higher-priority projects and critical issues, enhancing our department's efficiency and effectiveness.KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES Level 1 user supportZenDesk Tickets – Follow-upsDesktop/Laptop setupsMobile Phone setupsCyber Security Training Campaign – Co-ordination with all stakeholdersWHAT YOU WILL BRINGKnowledge in poultry and meat processing is preferred. Must be enrolled in a related program in an accredited post-secondary institution.WORKING CONDITIONSPosition is primarily office-based working conditions, with ability to go on the plant floor depending on work assignments.; Work hours: Maximum - 40 hours/week – Day shift Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm or 9:00am – 5:30pm.Office-Based Role with Plant Visits: The co-op student will primarily be stationed in the office environment but may be required to visit the plants as needed for hands-on support and project engagement.Remote Site Visits (Optional): While there will be opportunities to visit remote sites, this aspect of the role is optional and contingent upon the student’s transportation capabilities.Collaborative IT Setting: The co-op student will work in a team-oriented setting that emphasizes collaboration with other IT professionals to address departmental needs and user support requests.Dynamic Support Landscape: The student will encounter a diverse range of IT challenges, offering a broad exposure to various tech support scenarios, from hardware troubleshooting to software assistance including cyber security and AI, fostering a comprehensive learning experience.In accordance with Ontario Human Rights Code, Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005, accommodation will be provided in all parts of the hiring process.
