About the Opportunity : Under the direction of the Manager of Seniors WZ, and under the supervision of a licensed health professional, the Rehabilitation Assistant, as an active member of the patient care team, works with individuals, families and groups to help educate and promote movement, occupation, and function. Working collaboratively with their team, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of assigned interventions for patients in movement and daily function. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, maintains treatment and storage areas and may order necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services in a variety of clinical care settings.

About You : We would love to hear from you if you have the following:

  • Grade 12 or GED
  • Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)
  • BLS-C
  • Ability to communicate well with both patients and their families and staff
  • Good interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team members
  • Organizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levels
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics
  • Demonstrate basic computer skills
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
  • Access to reliable transportation

Hours :

  • Permanent, Full-Time Position; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
  • Shifts include weekdays, evenings, scheduled weekends and holidays

Compensation and Incentives : $22.39 - $25.44 Hourly
