The Senior Cable Tray Designer will be responsible for: Design and arrange raceways and conduits to accommodate power, control, and instrumentation wiring within industrial settings like Pulp & Paper, Wastewater Treatment, and Power Generation.Produce reports on cable tray loading, establish installation techniques, and ensure effective grounding practices.Evaluate conduit loading, devise installation strategies, oversee grounding, and manage conduit connections.Choose appropriate cable trays, raceways, and conduits for project-specific needs.Oversee the distribution and regulation of electrical power ranging from 120 volts to 15,000 volts AC.Develop efficient designs for underground conduits.Formulate designs for grounding systems.Create layout drawings for electrical and transformer rooms.Coordinate design activities with other disciplines such as Piping, HVAC, Civil and Mechanical. The required qualifications for the Senior Cable Tray Designer are: 10 years of professional experience in cable tray design within a Consulting Engineering environment.In-depth knowledge and experience in detailed design of Cable trays and Conduit for industrial sectors like Pulp & Paper, Wastewater Treatment, Power Generation, etc.Ability to gather electrical information at client project sites and understand existing installations.Proficiency in AVEVA E3D, AutoCAD 2D, and ideally, AVEVA Electrical Engineering Modules and AutoCAD PLANT 3D.Strong understanding of industrial electrical distribution equipment and materials.Comprehensive knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, particularly sections related to Wire and Cable, Raceway & Conduit Systems, Grounding, Motors, and Motor Controls.Experience supervising cable tray and conduit installations, and electrical equipment onsite would be considered an asset.
