Accountant

Our Richmond based client is looking for an experienced Accountant to join their busy team. The successful Accountant will be a well-rounded individual with full cycle accounting experience. You will be flexible in taking on a diverse list of job tasks, while also supporting the rest of the team as required. Responsibilities: • Manage general ledger accounts and prepare journal entries as needed. • Perform full cycle payroll. • Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes and financial statements. • Reconcile bank statements and accounts payable/receivable. • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations. • Support audit processes and respond to auditor inquiries. • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making. • Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management. • Serve as general backup to existing accounting team. Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 3+ years of proven experience in full-cycle accounting. • Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., NetSuite) and MS Excel. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
