Commencing immediately, we have an opening for a Legal Counsel to join our in-house legal team. As a member of our In-House legal team, you will provide advice and assistance on a wide range of legal issues to our broad range of internal clients across multiple jurisdictions and in varying and diverse industries.
In the role of Legal Counsel , you must be comfortable and effective working both independently and also in a team environment comprised of business unit management and other corporate operational departments. Strong communication skills and the ability to present practical, business-based solutions to legal challenges are key requirements for success in this role. In addition, experience providing proactive legal advice and assessing enterprise risk are necessary for this role.
- are members of, or eligible for admission to, the Nova Scotia Barristers Society;
- a minimum of three to five years of relevant legal experience;
- experience in corporate/commercial law and/or labour and employment law; and
- a demonstrated interest in business.
