Job DescriptionThe House of Commons Human Resources Services is currently looking to staff the Senior Advisor, Workplace Inclusion Diversity and Equity (WIDE) position.As the Senior Advisor, Workplace Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, you will oversee the workplace inclusion program. You will lead the development, implementation, maintenance and performance monitoring of the workplace inclusion strategy and activities, ensuring senior management, managers, employees and applicants have the information, tools and support required to successfully promote an inclusive, diverse and equitable culture at the House of Commons. You will lead the related processes surrounding data collection, analysis and reporting and will be a partner for the employee resource groups (the Diversity Council and the Anti-Racism Sub-Committee). You will also participate in working groups and communities of practice with Parliamentary and external partners. If you are truly passionate about creating a respectful and inclusive workplace, this is the job for you.Training and development opportunitiesWork-life balance/ 35-hour workweek4 weeks vacation (minimum)QualificationsEducation:University degree from a recognized institution in human resources management or a related field OR an acceptable combination of education, training and relevant experience.Experience:Experience in leading the conceptualization, development and implementation of organizational strategies and programs related to inclusion, diversity and equity;Experience in providing specialized services and advice to senior leaders and managers;Experience in leading, managing and evaluating projects;Experience in analyzing programs and data, creating and presenting recommendations;Experience in clarifying and presenting concepts to various levels of the organization, both orally and in writing;Knowledge and experience building HR programs in alignment with Accessible Canada Act;Experience in preparing and facilitating learning programs, and developing related documents, manuals and guides pertaining to inclusion, diversity and equity;Experience leading others, including coaching, setting performance objectives and completing performance evaluation.Assets:Implementing and supporting Employee Resource Groups;Certification (i.e. Canadian Certified Inclusion Professional (CCIP), MBTI, Change Style Indicators, etc.);Knowledge or experience in conflict resolution;Member of the ORHRI or HRPA.Additional InformationWe are committed to creating an inclusive workplace by providing a barrier-free recruitment and selection process.
