The Opportunity: The Construction Coordinator will report to the Area Construction Lead and support the North Atlantic Surface Projects and Studies Group. The incumbent will ensure best practices are being implemented and used and that the highest level of service support is being provided by the project management team and the various site-based contractors. They will also assist the SHE team to ensure that effective safety and environmental procedures are followed and that routine or urgent requirements are responded to promptly. The Coordinator will support and assist the Area Lead by facilitating the day-to-day linkage with the ongoing operations and maintenance personnel at the Plant and the project management team. This position will be responsible for supporting the construction team in planning, coordination, and execution of work on time, within budget and quality requirements, and in a zero-harm environment. Accountabilities: • Participate in and contribute to the development of a Construction Execution Plan and schedule for the area and for the total site. • Conduct detailed constructability reviews of engineering drawings and specifications during the project design phase. • Explore and identify additional opportunities for pre-assembly and modularization. • Assist in the construction contract bidder pre-qualification, tendering, and contractor selection processes. • Participate in the development of logistics plans with the Owner's team expediting, warehousing, contracts, and procurement department resources. • Review preservation plans for construction-related equipment and materials as required. • Report to the owner’s project management team on all matters relating to construction in his/her area. • Provide guidance, direction, and assistance to contractors through the Engineering, Construction, and Premissioning phases of the project. • Closely participate, with the contractor, in the monitoring and coordination of contractors’ productivity and performance. • Monitor the implementation of contractor QC programs and assist with the implementation of the Owner's team QA programs at the site. • Assist the SHE team to ensure contractors’pliance with established safety and environmental procedures and standards. • Assist with safety audits and investigations. • Ensure that work ispleted by contract scopes. • Monitor changes in work scope and represent the owner in the scope change authorization process, as established in the project procedures. • Monitor contractors’ progress and verify and approve contractors’ progress billings. • Participate in the resolution of disputes and determination of priorities when conflicts are encountered. • Review and rmend for approval of construction quality management plan, construction inspection, and test records. • Plan the integration between the constructionpletion activities andmissioning activities ensuring clear responsibilities are defined between construction contractors, vendor representatives, andmissioning teams for successful handover of construction activities tomissioning. • Assist with the development of routine project reporting. • Review and approve all incident/injury reports and ensure the appropriate action plans are developed to deal with patterns, conditions, and behaviours. • Assist the owner’smissioning team in the preparation and assembly of premissioning documentation. • Ensure that the installations arepleted as detailed in specific contract and project design documents. • Manage the identification, classification, and rectification of the construction punch list to ensure contractors deliver scope according to contractual obligations. • Monitor the preparation and accuracy of as-built documentation. #LI-DNI #1113363 - Owen MacPherson
