JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Operate various hand and power tools; including drills, skid steers and other tools as directed by the superintendent.
  • Assist operator's to load construction materials from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment.
  • Execute daily work instructions received from the Superintendent in a timely manner.
  • Transport equipment and materials from facility to job site.
  • Participate in daily safety meetings and fill out safety forms (i.e.: hazard assessments).
  • Maintain a clean work site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use and securing the job site on a daily basis.
  • Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
  • Report incidents immediately to site superintendent, foremen and management in accordance with incident reporting procedures established by the company.
  • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Travel out of town to work on remote job sites as directed by management.

JOB SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS Required:

  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean driving record
  • Previous experience working on construction sites
  • Ability to travel out of town during the week or on weekends
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand for hours on end
  • Ability to perform a variety of physical tasks
  • Ability to work with mínimal supervision in a team and safety-focused environment;
  • Ability and willingness to work on an on-call basis.
  • Understanding of and willingness to abide by all safety protocols

Preferred but not required:

  • High school education or equivalent
  • CSTS Certificate (Construction Safety Training Systems) - Can provide online training
  • WHIMIS - Can provide online training

  • Negotiable, pending experience
