Closure of all Work Orders with accurate information and on time. Compete work orders following EHS policies. Responsibilities This will require Manual work and sometimes working on powered equipment in a safe and controlled manner (HV - 1500V and above) To carry out the power isolation processes / tag out / lock out operation (TPSS, OCS) for the rail system team and any designated third parties. To be a TPIP holder To carry out such work in accordance with strict Health & Safety procedures as defined by legislation and the Company Health & Safety policies. To participate in the maintenance of some other assets (Ventilation, security assets, Pumps Switches etc.) To carry out work arising involving the use of computerized Equipment/working manuals. To exchange / repair some of the assets of the sub-systems. To undertake other duties related to all infrastructure assets as specified by the Supervisor or Manager In case of Accident or Major failure, to participate in the rescue/corrective operations. To report activities (work orders / inspections) through a computerized maintenance Management system. To supervise subcontractor activities. To attend regular team briefings. To read reports and manuals as and when required. To report accidents/incidents. To drive company vehicles when required. To respect, clean and maintain the work environment. To work with the Rail System Team in case of emergency or extreme weather (ice/snow) to maintain the operation of the Rail System. To work at night and weekends. share skills/information to other team members. MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Journey Man Electrician or Electrical Eng Degree or Electrical Engineering Technologist Desirable: Master Electrician or equivalent experience - Red Seal (interprovincial/Canada wide) EXPERIENCE: Mandatory: Min 2 years of experience OCS experience. Working knowledge of Quality and Health & Safety standards G license mandatory Work at height, outdoors and during the night will be required. Knowledge of Rail / Vehicle operations environment Completion of Level 2 training as outlined in training requirements. Will be required to share skills/information to others. Desirable: 4 years of OCS experience as a Ottawa LRT power technician High Voltage certification is highly recommended. Other vehicle licenses (truck / trailer, etc.) preferably DZ or AZ Competencies & Skills Perform daily maintenance – preventative and corrective. Notify the Supervisor when any issue has been identified. Understanding As-built drawings. Planning and organization. Prioritizes the daily workload. Flexible and adaptable. Can adapt to changing priorities. Ability to understand functional location of infrastructure assets via service order. Completes assigned work in a timely manner. Ability to consistently produce factual detailed shift reports. Completes work orders with detailed information. Ability to train (OJT) PT’s on level 1 and 2 requirements. Works well in a team environment.
