HR/admin Support

The Liftsafe Group of Companies, based out of Ayr, ON, is looking for an HR/H&S/Admin support person to join the team! This role will focus primarily on assisting the Human Resources and Health and Safety departments with day to day administrative tasks, as well as answering/directing calls and greeting visitors.

This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with a wide range of administrative skills who also has an interest in HR/H&S.

The primary duties and responsibilities of the Administrative Support role include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Onboarding - ensure new hire paperwork/training is ready for new hires
  • Tracking training and arranging for training renewals
  • Keeping various compliance sites up to date
  • Issuing WSIB and liability insurance certificates
  • Researching best practices for new processes/solutions, etc.
  • Assembling H&S data required for tenders and contractor packages
  • Sit on JHSC as worker representative, conduct monthly walk-arounds
  • Generate content for company newsletter - employee spotlights, milestones, etc.
  • Keep communication bulletin boards up to date
  • Assisting with larger projects
  • Act as first point of contact for calls and visitors
  • Directing incoming calls to intended/appropriate individuals
  • Receive, sort and distribute incoming mail (letters, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications include:

  • High school diploma and 3+ years of applicable work experience
  • Background/education in HR/H&S
  • Proficient with Microsoft office products
  • Excellent typing and note taking skills
  • Strong data-entry skills
  • Able to work independently
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks
  • Prior experience with contractor compliance sites an asset
  • Prior experience in a front desk/reception role an asset.

Salary : $48,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
