Summary

Zedcor is looking to add an equipment delivery driver to help service existing customers. This position will be based out of our Ottawa, Ontario Branch. The equipment delivery driver/ Field technician will be a crucial team member as we continue to execute our growth strategy. This position will be perfect for you if you have a clean drivers abstract with experience working with moving small equipment packages and towing trailers behind a 1 ton pick-up truck. This is a field position based out Ottawa working throughout the great Ottawa area and surrounding regions.

Summary of tasks

• Deliver and unload mobile surveillance and security towers and material to destinations/customers and complete all necessary paperwork.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating conditions in accordance with provincial and federal laws.
• Maintain driver logs and records in accordance with provincial and federal laws.
• Load and unload materials and equipment in a safe and secure manner
• Deliver a high level of customer service and represent Zedcor in a professional manner.
• Drive truck & trailer combination and commercial vehicles.
• Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues and perform/manage preventative maintenance.
• Ensure loads are safe and secure prior to and during transportation.
• Adhere to laws on commercial vehicle operation as per Federal, Provincial, and local authorities.
• Any other job duties and responsibilities which the Company or Branch Manager reasonably requires you to carry out.

Qualifications and skills

• 3+ years’ experience in delivery and set-up of mobile equipment, including light towers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to build strong relationships with customers, problem solve and provide solutions
• Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Self-starter, driven and motivated to work independently with little oversight.
• Experience working in a fast-paced competitive environment, results driven;
• Valid driver’s licence with 3 year abstract

Salary : $26.00-$28.00 per hour
