Job Summary : Working with the dynamic alumni engagement team, both remotely, and on-campus, the intern’s main duties will be to assist with the creation and delivery of compelling and engaging communications, resources and programming, for all levels of students. Connecting students to alumni through networking and mentorship opportunities, helping to foster alumni pride and an excellent student experience will be areas of focus. The intern will work collaboratively with the MAC10 alumni officer and colleagues in the Student Success Centre delivering transition to career and employment, “Life after MAC”, events and programs to upper year students. The intern will be responsible for curating and creating relevant digital content and will support other alumni programs as part of the alumni engagement team, such as the Question of Week Club, event coding and online digital class books.

Accountabilities :

  • Play a key role in the planning and delivery of all student relations advancement activities
  • Provide support to Associate Director, Alumni Engagement
  • Ensure an efficient flow of information and administrative support for the area with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain a variety of database records, files, and correspondence.
  • Perform research, analysis, and compilation of data related to student and alumni participation

Qualifications :

  • University degree in a relevant field
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Superior organization skills and attention to detail, with an ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Self directed and motivated with ability the manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and ensure deliverables are met in a timely and professional manner.

A 12- month contract, (Sept start), 35 hours a week, 8:30 am -4:30 pm schedule. The incumbent will be asked to work on-campus a minimum of two days per week. Occasional evening and weekend work is a requirement to assist in hosting of events.
