The Municipality has an employment opportunity for a temporary full time : Water Compliance Coordinator

Reporting to the Team Leader - Water, the Water Compliance Coordinator will assist in the implementation and development of the Drinking Water Quality Management Standards (DWQMS) for both water treatment and water distribution areas. This position is primarily responsible for all issues with respect to compliance reporting as it relates to the Safe Drinking Water Act, the Ontario Water Resources Act, and all associated regulations.

Some Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills required include :

  • 2 year college certificate or diploma in engineering or environmental/water including course in DWQMS
  • Up to 4 years experience dealing with regulatory personnel of which a minimum of 3 years of experience working with DWQMS
  • Experience in water treatment operations would be an asset
  • Certification in water/waste water treatment operations would be an asset
  • ISO 14001 knowledge or certification would be an asset
  • Knowledge of QMS, DWQMS and environmental/emergency management programs
  • Knowledge of internal and external auditing

Job Types : Full-time, Fixed term contract Contract length: 3 months

Salary : From $33.48 per hour
