InnovOak School was established in 2021 in Kitchener-Waterloo Ontario. As an education start-up, we pride ourselves on providing a strong academic program that will give students the tools and skills they need to succeed, graduate, and be remarkable in all areas of adult life. InnovOak is a Ministry Inspected Private School for Grades JK-12 and we grant an OSSD and our own ISHGD.

With deep ties to the startup tech culture along with a pedigree of over 30 years in Ontario education, we are focused on the teaching and learning strategies that we know work. We are looking for specialized staff that fit our culture and are student focused. We hire for attitude, train for skill, valuing our administrative staff for what they bring to their role each day. We are looking for an experienced and flexible administrative professional who can handle a variety of educational situations and circumstances.

Key Aspects of this Role

  • Deliver exceptional customer service to all stakeholders (parents, students, and staff)
  • Manage student focused programs that have legislative requirements with exceptional detail (Safe Arrival, OSRs, Admissions letters, ONSIS, Administration of Mediation and Building Access)
  • Develop office procedures with guidance from the Principal to ensure smooth functioning office and school.
  • Fully support the mission, vision, and values of the school in all aspects of the role
  • Managing and maintaining an accurate school SIS, managing EQAO, OUAC, ONSIS and other data bases with no errors
  • Supporting the course selection, admissions, marketing processes (by completing administrative tasks, updating calendars, booking tours, confirming appointments etc)
  • Managing and supporting a variety of business functions that compete with day-to-day responsibilities (Facebook Posts, Sourcing, Community Partnerships, PreTour oversight)
  • Be a proven self-starter with effective time management, willing to take on new responsibilities ensuring things get done in a startup culture.
  • Using professional skill to ensure the Principal maintains a level of confidence in delegation of tasks, decision making, and managing issues on their behalf.
  • Keen attention to detail and ability to multitask and prioritize while constantly adapting to change.

  • Previous employment/experiences in an educational setting is highly valued.
  • College or University degree is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to write, organize data and proofread is required.
  • Prior administrative activities and experiences in a school or startup culture will catch our attention.

Additional Information :

  • This is a fulltime role that is tied to the school office hours of 8:00 to 4:00
  • Must complete a VSC and provide adequate references that are satisfactory.
  • Office hours will be more flexible during the summer months.
