Our client in Kitchener, is looking for a Production Manager to join the team in a full-time permanent role!The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in production/ plant management in a manufacturing and solid leadership skills!If you are the successful candidate, you will be the recipient of a a competitive salary at 80K per year as well as full benefits plan, RSP matching and paid vacation time!Job Responsibilities:Develop positive attitudes and teamworkTrain operators that are running automatic machines to perform “complete” quality inspection and documentationImprove quality by ensuring daily quality inspections are completed at beginning and end of shift with quality technician and inspectorsTraining of Shift Leaders, Production employees, Process/Tool Room, Set-up, and MaintenanceSupport and develop company objectives of Safety, Quality and ProductivityContinual improvement within quality departmentSet daily priorities and develop an efficient daily planEnsure a safe working environment by providing staff with the resources to complete their work safely and efficientlyUnderstand and train staff on the ISO programCoordinating production in order of priorities and improving plant efficiencyDevelop a training and mentoring programWork with our team to develop KanBan system for all raw and finished goods including a plan to manage “material overflow”Implement use of standard process sheets and standardized shift performance reportingLead, implement, and document continuous improvement solutions identified from performance monitoring.Participate in Monthly Non-Conformance and Defect Tracking MeetingsParticipate with Product Development Group as part of new project launchMonitor daily shift performance report to investigate output anomaliesRequired Skills:3-5+ years experience in production management, preferably in injection moldingExcellent supervision and leadership skillsSuperior communications skills with the ability to motivate staff to be productiveSet-up and processing capabilitiesAbility to manage staff, set priorities, assign tasks efficiently, meet production goalsExperience reporting production results.If you have experience managing people and jobs in a manufacturing/ production environment, this role is for you!Send your resume ASAP to: jayne@grandriverpersonnel.caGrand River Personnel is committed to promoting accessibility for Ontarians with disabilities and complying with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, and makes accommodations available for applicants with disabilities in its recruitment processes.
