Our established manufacturing client in Kitchener is looking to add an Industrial Plant Manager to their team with a degree in engineering or manufacturingResponsibilities / DutiesPromote safety and ensure compliance to all health and safety regulations and company policy related to health and safetyManage the entire manufacturing processes related to efficiency, quality and schedulesParticipate in all aspects of continuous improvement initiatives related to improved efficiencies of staff and equipmentSupport and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost-saving initiativesContribute to improving general overall culture on the manufacturing floorSupport initiatives related to operating inventory improvementsSupport and utilize company programs related to Continuous Improvement and Quality AssuranceMaintain open and effective communication with senior management, and plant employees to ensure alignment of goals and objectives.Address any production issues or challenges that arise promptly, using processes and tools to identify causes, and participate and sometimes lead in implementing corrective actions to prevent reoccurrenceMonitor production equipment to ensure they are operational and in good working order in coordination with maintenance and engineer departmentsQualificationsA degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field10+ Years of experience in manufacturing, with experience in production supervision, process improvement, and team leadership.Knowledge and experience in quality control methodologies, and lean manufacturing principlesStrong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a diverse team of employees.Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with employees at all levels of the organizationFamiliarity with health and safety regulationsAbility to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals and objectives.Flexibility and adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
