Job Description:  

Under the supervision of the CEO, the Product Manager is responsible for the product planning and execution throughout the product life cycle. The ideal candidate will have a strategic mindset, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and customer needs. The Product Manager will be in charge of the R&D Manager and will work closely with cross-functional teams including sales, marketing, supply chain and support to ensure customer and company satisfaction goals are met.

Qualifications:

Experience 

  • 3+ years experience in Product Management or similar role
  • 5+ years experience with hand tools 
  • Experience with Netsuite considered an asset

Education 

  • Bachelor degree in a relevant field of study such as Business Administration, or Engineering, preferred, but not required

Skills 

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
  • Self-motivated with the ability to thrive under little supervision
  • Strong project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Defining the product vision, strategy and roadmap
  • Interacting with customers and product testers on a weekly basis online and in person
  • Acting as the customer advocate, articulating the user’s needs
  • Gathering, managing and prioritizing market and customer requirements
  • Creating MRD (Market Requirements Document) and PRD (Product Requirements Document)
  • Testing product samples and prototypes and get feedback from our product testers
  • Determining and managing product pricing based on market research, production costs, anticipated demand, company goals and the product life cycle stage
  • Developing the core marketing positioning and product marketing communication objectives
  • Ensuring all product details are accurate 
  • Finding gaps in product offerings on the market
  • Educating staff on products
  • Creating social media content about products
  • Working with Marketing Manager to create product launching and sales strategy
  • Working with Customer Service Manager to analyze customer’s product complaints, wants, needs and ideas
  • Working with R&D Manager to develop new products
  • Determining, Tracking and Monitoring of Product Management KPIs
