Safety is the cornerstone of our culture, because if we are not safe, nothing else matters.Your Opportunity at SECURE EnergyWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 1 or 3 Driver to join our Richmond Waste Services team.A Day in The Life Comply with all jurisdiction traffic safety legislation.Safely operate various units, including but not limited to Vacuum trucks, Cube Vans, HIAB crane truck etc., in diverse weather and challenging work site environments.Abide by all Waste Management and customer plant-specific safety procedures.Ensure all waste containers are labeled in accordance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Regulations, specifically: Drums - stick on labels, Bags - in pocket, Bins - wire tie label.Ensure all labels are completed in full including shipping name, generator name, approval number, TDG Class, UN number, Packing Group number, load number, drum number, etc.Inspect all waste materials to ensure compliance with manifest, recycle docket and bill of lading descriptions.Be a team player, committed to an on-call rotation for off hours and weekends.Communicate effectively with Dispatch daily, to maximize customer needs and SECURE’s efficiency.Assist with operations at the facility. Skills, Experience, & QualificationsThe individual in this role will have: Minimum of 3 years driving experience in the transportation industry or demonstrated competency.Class 1 or 3 Commercial License is a requirement.Clear and valid current 5-year Commercial Drivers Abstract is a requirement.HIAB crane truck or Vacuum truck experience is considered an asset.Solid knowledge base with respect to Hours of Service, load securement and driving regulations.Solid understanding of Canadian geography and highway systems.Prior experience in crane truck and/or vacuum truck operation is considered an asset.
