PLATO has offices on or near Indigenous communities across Canada, in Fredericton, Sault Ste Marie, Ottawa/Gatineau, Regina, Prince Albert, Calgary, and Vancouver.We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. The Business Analyst will play a crucial role in analyzing and defining IT requirements and ensuring that technology solutions meet the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background combined with excellent analytical and communication skills. Share What you'll doResponsibilities Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business goals and translate them into technical requirements.Conduct detailed analysis of current systems, processes, and workflows to identify areas for improvement.Develop functional specifications (FRD), user stories & personas, process maps and Requirement Traceability Matrix (RTM) for IT projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives.Facilitate meetings and workshops with business stakeholders and IT teams to gather and prioritize requirements.Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate and timely implementation of solutions.Perform gap analysis and provide post-implementation support.Support project managers in project planning, monitoring progress, and ensuring delivery within scope and timelines.Assist in user acceptance testing and coordinate rollout of new systems and enhancements.Active participate in continuous improvement initiatives. What you'll needQualifications Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.Proven experience (5+) as Business Analyst or similar role in client projects in technology.Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience with business process modeling tools and techniques.Experience working with government would be preferred.Excellent client facing communication skills both verbal and written.Familiarity with enterprise software solutions and IT infrastructure.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio), Jira, Trello, Miro, DevOps etc.Relevant certifications like - CBAP, PMI-PBA are preferred.Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.Excellent client facing communication skills both verbal and writtenAbility to work independently and as part of a team.Highly organized, adaptive to change, strong inclination to continuous learning.Believes in coaching and mentoring team members wherever needed.
