The position can be based out of either Strathcona’s Macklin, SK or Lloydminster, AB office with frequent travel to operating facilities in West Central Saskatchewan and North Battleford area.

Essential Functions :

  • Perform internal, external and installation inspections.
  • Coordinate non-destructive testing including UT, MT & LPI.
  • Develop and update inspection scopes and provide interval recommendations.
  • Evaluate and document PSV service reports.
  • Stewardship of Pressure Equipment Integrity Management System.
  • Participate in Field Integrity Meetings.
  • Report incidents and failures to regulatory bodies and the corporate Chief Inspector.
  • Support internal conformance reviews, regulatory audits, failure analyses and risk assessments.
  • Work with provincial regulators to ensure corporate and regulatory compliance.
  • Responsible for accurate asset inventories and operating statuses within corporate and regulatory databases.
  • Provide recommendations, and coordinate field activities for repairs and alterations.
  • Provide technical inspection assistance to engineering and construction teams.
  • Inspect and recommend protective coating systems and repairs.
  • Remain up to date and knowledgeable on all applicable codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Field coordination and cost control for integrity monitoring and assessment activities.

Qualifications Include :

  • 5 years of experience within the Oil & Gas industry in a similar role with 5 years of experience completing in-field inspections.
  • Standard oil and gas safety tickets.
  • API 510, preference given to 570 and 653 Inspector Certifications.
  • ABSA Inservice Inspector Certification.
  • TSASK Class 1 or 2 Pressure Equipment Inspector License.
  • Working knowledge of applicable industry codes such as CSA B51, ASME sec I, VIII, IX, B31.3, B31.1 and APIs.
  • Working knowledge of welding procedures, processes and NDE techniques.
