PRAIRIE DINER is in need of COOK (NOC 6322)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 1.Oversee kitchen operations 2.Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods or special orders 3.Schedule/supervise/train kitchen helpers 4.Maintain inventory records of food, costs, supplies and equipment 5.Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and work area

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 1.Completion of secondary school 2.Minimum 1 year related work experience

SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE: 1.Understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills 2.Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures 3.English language andprofessional communications skills are required 4.Ability to take direction 5.Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure 6.Must have problem solving abilities, be self-motivated, and organized 7.Commitment to quality service, and food and beverage knowledge

WORKING HOURS: 30-40 hours/week, shift schedule between 6: 00 AM to 9: 00 PM with two varied days off per week

WAGE & BENEFITS: $15.00 per hour, 50% meal discount
