Job Duties and Responsibilities : The Maintenance Supervisor is to provide first-line supervision, technical assistance and training where applicable to all staff in troubleshooting minor downtime causes and process improvements. The main task is providing technical and supervisory support to the maintenance and production team to ensure that technical issues are investigated and resolved as quickly as possible.

  • Conduct LPA and Support plant safety objectives and those of the CFT (Cross Functional Team) by participating in monthly Safety-First audits and JHSC meetings
  • Provide hands on supervision of tooling and ensure their timely response to the lines, accurate and timely input into emaint for all downtime related to tooling issues.
  • Provide hands on Supervision of maintenance team members - follow up on daily tasks, completion, review of emaint work orders, root causes analysis, counter measures, safety, absenteeism.
  • Cycle times - observe during shift, update downtime & troubleshoot, communicate back to Process Engineer
  • Training - assist in providing training where relevant and necessary
  • Review scrap and trouble shoot where possible, Review changeovers and assist in troubleshooting
  • Generate and assist in working on tags for accountability board
  • Order, track and maintain spare parts inventory requirements.
  • Ability to work OT and call ins as needed for production requirements
  • Develop efficient processes for new product introductions
  • Ability to work with various PLC’s/networks such as ControlLogix, SLC 505, Siemens, Profibus, and DeviceNet based systems
  • Knowledge of Siemens programming a plus, knowledge of hydraulic press systems a plus Familiarity with ABB robots a plus
