JOB SUMMARY : The Quality Assurance Coordinator assesses both internal and external quality performance through systems and process evaluations, to determine improvement opportunities regarding quality within manufacturing operations and help drive change. They are responsible for managing all customer correspondence and other communications.

JOB TASKS :

  • Manages all customer inquiries, complaints, investigations, and corrective actions to determine solutions.
  • Assists providing customers with all correspondence, surveys, and Cost of Quality letters.
  • Monitors Cost of Quality/Notification activities as required.
  • Builds detailed, comprehensive reports as required.
  • Supports all manufacturing departments, providing Quality related support, follow-up, investigations and implement solutions/projects.
  • Evaluates Inspection plans, methods/techniques and make recommendations for standardization.
  • Creates quality documentation, making updates as required
  • Prepares/ assists with Quality related Kaizens.
  • Assists with process planning.
  • Brings support to new products/Customer introduction to eliminate defects.
  • Performs Quality checks on the products at the machines as required.
  • Acts as the primary backup to QA Clerk and QA Analyst
  • Lead and perform Quality investigations.
  • Provide Quality training as required.
  • Assistance and involvement in Internal Audits

COMPETENCIES :

  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and power point software programs.
  • Must have good leadership skills.
  • Must be proactive.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Must have good time-management and organizational skills, able to multi-task effectively.
  • Must have demonstrated strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy; detail oriented.
  • Must have good interpersonal skills (people skills)
  • Must have ability to work independently with mínimal supervision; must be able to take initiative.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Complete testing per WI 6.2.1.2 — General Hiring Practice Guidelines
  • Secondary school (high school) diploma

PREFERRED :

  • College degree or diploma
  • Experience working in the flexographic printing industry, or any other manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Experience using SAP software.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Project Management experience is an asset
