Maintenance Supervisor (Midnights)

About the Role : What You Will Do :

  • Co-ordinate and work with operations to prioritize maintenance escalations across the plant
  • Supervise preventive maintenance schedules, preventive and predictive inspections, and repairs to minimize down time
  • Conduct root cause analysis of downtime issues to prevent recurrence
  • Lead skilled trades/maintenance personnel to evaluate requirements for maintaining and improving production yields, throughput, and up time
  • Manage maintenance team member skills by identifying and eliminating gaps in training
  • Use SAP Maintenance to document all maintenance activities (crisis and planned) as well as interface and provide guidance to maintenance planning activities.
  • Complete prioritized daily maintenance tasks (predictive, preventive and crisis maintenance)
  • Analyze equipment performance and work to improve efficiencies; actively participate in Constraint Review Process
  • Ensure equipment start-up readiness for production
  • Influence the key performance indicators, mean time between failure (MTBF) of components and equipment in their area, mean time to repair (MTTR), as well as maintaining equipment at basic conditions and continuous improvements of the equipment in their area.
  • Assesses and prioritizes work requests and ensures material required for the work is available.
  • Follows up on work orders to ensure job specifications (quality and quantity) and timelines are met.
  • Follow safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends, in a rotating shift environment

What You Need :

  • 3-5 years of technical supervisory experience of medium to large teams
  • Skilled Trades Ticket preferred
  • Engineering Diploma / Degree is preferred or equivalent experience
  • Hands on experience in - Electrical/Mechanical/Controls
  • Demonstrated knowledge of safety standard processes for maintenance professionals (JSA, PTW, LOTOTO)
  • Training in Total Productive Maintenance, precision equipment and automation
  • Experience working in a zero-downtime environment, with cross functional teams
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and solve problems in an urgent manner
  • Knowledge of Electrical Code, Occupational Health & Safety Standard, Local and Provincial Laws
  • Possess a general level of technical understanding related to maintenance, time based maintenance (TBM), condition based maintenance (CBM), and multifaceted maintenance (DM).
