Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Complete the development of Baycrest Academy’s Open Science principlesFinalize the Open Science policy and companion documentsDevelop a three-year Open Science implementation plant that includes stakeholder consultation, milestones, timelines and deliverableDevelop project charter for the implementation plan that includes identifying risks and issues, budget and change management processes to enable the uptake of Open Science principles and processes across the different Baycrest entitiesWork with KL-CARE staff to oversee the completion of stakeholders’ consultation reportOrganize stakeholders consultation meetings regarding the implementation plan to ensure their perspective are included and addressed in the planning and implementation processesParticipate as a member of the Open Science Committee and provide meeting organization support and follow-up on action itemsWork in partnership with Research Ethics staff to advise staff and trainees on the ethics of Open Science and to establish, manage and oversee the development of a searchable database tracking research studies and outputsWork in partnership with Data Management Plan Working Group and Data Science Committee to address and manage overlap between data management and Open Science to eliminate duplication and to assess the organization and standardization of research dataDevelop, in partnership with Data Management Plan Working Group and Open Science Chair, as well as other administrative, educational and scientific leads, data sharing principles to foster Open Science and processes to establish appropriate Open Science internal controlsWork with programmer to design scientific databases and repositories and advise on the optimization of data management systemsDevelop, in partnership with scientific, IT and other technical staff, procedures for managing data, from clean-up to formatting to uploading for sharingWork in partnership with Research IT to identify and assess data sharing platforms, and provide recommendations and guidance on how to use data sharing platformsTrack and report on implementation progress, effectiveness and Open Science metricsTrack and respond to developments within the wider Open Science and research landscape Qualifications include but are not limited to: Masters or PhD (an asset) in computer science, biomedical engineering, neuroscience, psychology or equivalent Project Management Professional (PMP) (asset)Experience working in the research communityKnowledge of Open Science philosophy and its mechanismsUnderstanding of the Open Science policy landscape and implications for open access to scientific publications and research dataExcellent computer skills and ability to adapt to new technologiesExcellent verbal, written and listening skillsStrong interpersonal skills and an ability to cope in stressful situationsAbility to document concisely and to communicate effectivelyAbility to prioritize workload and the flexibility to adjust to changing work plans, schedules and deadlinesAbility to work under pressure and to thrive in a fast-paced client-focused environmentKnowledge of Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act 1990 requirementsand Personal Health Information Protection Act 2004 Additional Benefits: Competitive Salary and VacationOpportunity to enroll in the Extended Health Care and Dental Benefit PlanOpportunity to enroll in the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan (HOOPP)Access to 24/7 Employee Assistance Program
