Your New Role

We are currently seeking a motivated and self-disciplined Building Operator to join this well-established organization at their brand-new commercial high-rise office building. This role is suited for someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who has a detail-oriented approach. If you take initiative and are comfortable completing various types of minor maintenance such as minor plumbing, electrical, and painting, then this is the role for you! You will be responsible for completing daily rounds of the building including checking temperatures and pressures, liaising with contractors, maintaining climate control through BAS and other mechanical systems, overseeing preventative maintenance and ad-hoc repairs of HVAC, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, lighting, elevator, and life and fire safety systems. You will help work towards their path of net zero by assisting with environment assessments and indoor air quality audits. Above all else, you will be responsible for ensuring tenants are receiving excellent service.

What You'll Need to Succeed

The ideal candidate has:

  • 3+ years of commercial building operations experience
  • Comfortability in performing all types of minor maintenance including minor plumbing, electrical, painting, and drywall repair.
  • Familiarity with various building automation systems including keyscan security, lighting, and HVAC systems.

You must have:

  • A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • Ability to be on-call for emergencies (4 week rotation)

A 4th class power engineer certification would be considered a strong asset.

What You'll Get in Return

  • A competitive base salary ($65,000 – 75,000 per annum based on experience)
