About the Role : Position Title :Civil Estimator/ Project Coordinator

The purpose of the Civil Estimator/Coordinator role is to provide support to the Senior Project Staff with take offs and estimation of civil projects.

Responsibilities : As a member of the Project Management Team, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

  • Read, interpret and understand tender drawings and specifications.
  • Provide technical assistance to the Project Managers, including analysis of tender drawings and preparation of quantity take-offs.
  • Identify costs involved in projects, and solicitation of sub-trade pricing for tenders both in person and on the phone, with follow-up analysis of sub-trade quotes.
  • Review, along with the assistance of the Project Managers, updated design drawings and specifications for variances in project budgeting.
  • Review shop drawings submissions to ensure conformance to project specifications and Subcontractor's scope.
  • Distribute updated design drawings and specifications to subcontractors, as they pertain to their trade.
  • Site visits as required

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in the construction estimation industry is required
  • Demonstrated history of successful bid results in a deadline driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge in using MS Office and AutoCAD
  • General project management skills (i.e. Budgeting and scheduling)
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. spreadsheet, project scheduling software, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Valid Driver’s License Salary : $50,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
