JOB TITLE: Dishwasher

REPORTS TO: Chef de Cuisine and Executive Chef

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & TASKS :

  • Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment or by hand as required.
  • Sort, stack, and organize cleaned dishes and utensils for storage or immediate use.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods of time, also have the ability to lift upwards of 50 lbs
  • Ensure that all dishes and utensils are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to health and safety standards.
  • Empty trash bins and remove garbage from kitchen areas as needed.
  • Clean and maintain dishwashing equipment, including regular cleaning of filters and sanitizing the machine.
  • Assist with the cleaning of kitchen surfaces, countertops, and equipment.
  • Sweep and mop kitchen floors to maintain cleanliness and prevent slip hazards.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling and disposing of kitchen waste and recycling materials.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Report any maintenance or repair needs for kitchen equipment or facilities to the appropriate supervisor.
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries of kitchen supplies and equipment.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
  • Follow instructions from kitchen supervisors and managers to ensure smooth operation of the dishwashing area.
  • Uphold standards of cleanliness and sanitation to ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
  • Stay informed about current menu offerings, promotions, and special events to effectively communicate with guests.
  • Participate in training sessions and ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in hospitality service.
  • Maintain a positive and professional demeanor, always embodying the values and culture of the hotel restaurant.

  • Be able to effectively communicate within a team
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and work with your hands for extensive periods of time

Pay: From $22.00 per hour
